Follow here the third phase of the Near Earth Commissioning of PHEBUS !

Day 140/2019 (20/05/2019):
Objectives of the day :
– Functional test of the FUV detector, without High Voltage
– Functional test of the EUV detector, without High Voltage
– First HV ramp for the FUV detector : 0-1kV
– First HV ramp for the EUV detector : 0-1kV

Activities performed:
– 6:00 am UTC : PHEBUS wakeup, all parameters OK.
– 7:00 am UTC : FUV functional test without HV. OK !
– 11:00 am UTC : FUV first HV ramp to 1kV. OK !

– 1:00 pm UTC : EUV functional test without HV. OK !

Day 141/2019 (21/05/2019):
Objectives of the day :
– FUV detector HV ramp to 2kV
– FUV detector HV ramp to 3kV
– EUV detector HV ramp to 2kV

Activities performed:
– 4:58 am UTC : PHEBUS wakeup, all parameters OK
– 5:12 am UTC : FUV HV ramp to 2kV. OK.
– 7:40 am UTC : FUV HV ramp to 3kV. OK.
– 10:28 am UTC : EUV HV ramp to 2kV. OK.
– 1:01 pm UTC : NUV K First ramp to 1kV. OK.

Day 142/2019 (22/05/2019):

Objectives of the day:
– NUV Ca First ramp to 1kV
– NUV sky roll (Both NUVs observing the sky)
– EUV ramp to 3kV
– FUV ramp to 4kV

Activities performed:
– 5:38 am UTC : NUV Ca First ramp to 1kV
– 6:57 am UTC : NUV sky roll (Both NUVs observing the sky) @ 800V
– 7:55 am UTC : NUV sky roll (Both NUVs observing the sky) @ 1000V

NUVs detectors skyroll (360°) : Light sources spotted !

– 8:29 am UTC : FUV HV ramp to 4kV. OK.
– 11:06 am UTC : EUV HV ramp to 3kV. OK.

Day 143/2019 (23/05/2019):

Activities performed:
– 5:18 am UTC : PHEBUS wakeup, all parameters OK
– 6:54 am UTC : FUV dark count and HV nom caracterization
– 10:08 am UTC : EUV HV ramp to 3.5kV. OK.
– EUV/FUV investigations

 

Day 144/2019 (24/05/2019):

Activities performed:
– 4:50 am UTC : PHEBUS wakeup, all parameters OK
– 5:50 am UTC : EUV first light (sky) in PHA mode, 3,0kV, 3,1kV, 3,2kV
– 6:25 am UTC : EUV first light (sky) in IMG mode, 3,0kV, 3,1kV, 3,2kV: First spectra of Lyman alpha line (slit ON) !!!

– 7:24 am UTC : EUV first light (sky) in IMG mode, 3,0kV, 3,1kV, 3,2kV: First spectra of Lyman alpha line (slit OFF) !!!

First spectra with EUV detector looking at interplanetary background. Lyman Alpha line (121nm) captured !

– 12:04 am UTC : FUV first light (sky) in IMG mode, 4.5kV: First spectra of a star : ongoing
